Charlie HoranCharlie has been serving the Quad Cities through the CPA firm Horan Barker Collins since 1982. Prior to starting that firm, Charlie worked for several years as a Pension Specialist for the Arthur Andersen Small Business Tax Group in downtown Chicago. A graduate of Notre Dame, with a degree in business, Charlie served in the Air Force for three years, including a year overseas in Korea. He has two graduate degrees — an MBA from the University of Iowa, and a Masters Degree in Taxation from DePaul. For several years, Charlie has been providing retirement planning and 401(k) program services as a division of Horan Barker Collins. Renaming that business Criterium Financial in late 2005 reflects a renewed and refocused commitment to the needs of clients with respect to personal and corporate retirement planning. The same staff will continue to provide the same level of service through Criterium Financial that plan sponsors have come to expect from Horan Barker Collins. |

About Criterium Financial, Ltd.Mission: To provide businesses and employers with the tools to offer a meaningful retirement program for employees. To assure the sustainability of those businesses by offering solutions that are cost effective and help employers attract and retain qualified and productive employees. To cut through the complication created by an oversaturated marketplace and offer clients a value driven solution. Why Choose Criterium Financial Services? The small business retirement plan has evolved to be both technically complicated and multi-dimensional from an investment perspective. The 401k plan has become the dominant program today, and the major investment companies have designed almost unlimited alternatives to compete for market share. The small business owner knows that there are options to choose from, but there is much uncertainty as to what the best alternative is for his/her company. A variety of consultants/advisors/providers solicit the business owner. Banks, insurance companies, stock brokers, mutual funds, investment advisors are all chasing “the next greatest thing” that will blow the socks off the competition. The savvy owner knows that marketing hype is not the answer. They want something that will meet their needs, will not be costly, and not be a hassle to run.
